Regional and local associations
Regional organisations complement global bodies: SIFMA covers US securities markets, AFME represents European wholesale markets, ASIFMA focuses on Asia and ASLA on Australian securities lending. National associations in Latin America, the Middle East and Africa can help identify local practice and policy resources. They are useful for local practice notes and events. Their names and trademarks belong to them; we refer to them only for identification.
Using association resources
- Access to documentation and legal opinions is often restricted to members.
- Market practice guidance is voluntary unless a regulator adopts it.
- Association events are listed in our calendar only if submitted by, or verified with, the organiser.
